01How cookie management works

At h2onlybattery.eu, advertising tools are not loaded until you allow them, and Google Analytics does not use cookies until you allow statistics. Until you make a choice, these tools stay in an inactive state.

In practice: the Meta and TikTok pixels are not loaded at all, and Google Analytics runs without cookies, until you give explicit consent. The services listed as essential or functional below work without consent, because the shop or a service you use needs them. Default: off.

02Cookie categories

Categories in use and their purpose

Essential: for basic functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, your account session, form submission, language and secure connections (e.g. woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*, wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-wpml_current_language). These cannot be switched off.

Security (essential): our forms are protected by ALTCHA, an anti-spam system that runs on our own server, without cookies and without third-party services.

Live chat (functional): the Tawk.to chat window on every page lets you talk to us. It stores a visitor identifier so a conversation continues from page to page.

Statistics: show us how the shop is used (Google Analytics). Until you allow statistics, Google Analytics runs in Google Consent Mode without cookies. Declining does not affect how the website works.

Advertising and personalisation: measure the performance of our campaigns on Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok and help us show relevant ads (Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, with their server connection: Meta Conversions API and TikTok Events API). They are loaded only after you allow advertising (e.g. _fbp, _fbc, _ttp, pys_*).

Order attribution and affiliates: WooCommerce notes how you reached the shop (e.g. a search engine or a campaign link, sbjs_*) so an order can be attributed correctly, and when you arrive through a partner link of the Linkwise affiliate network, the partner is credited for the purchase.

Embedded content: the contact page shows our locations on Google Maps, and our pages use web fonts from Google Fonts. These services receive your connection data (such as your IP address) when the content loads.

Payment (essential): on the checkout page our payment providers set cookies required for secure payment processing and fraud prevention: Viva.com (Smart Checkout) and PayPal (card payments). They are classed as essential and are set only on that page.

Note: the Meta and TikTok pixels are held back by the website itself until you allow advertising, and Google Analytics receives your choice through Google Consent Mode, so no advertising script loads before a positive choice.

03Google Consent Mode v2

Consent signals for statistics and advertising are set to denied from the first page load until you actively consent. While they are denied, Google Analytics does not set or read cookies.

Changes to your consent take effect as soon as you press Accept, Reject or Manage.

04Where your choice is stored

Your choice is stored locally in your browser for up to 12 months, so the prompt is not shown on every visit. The following storage mechanisms are used, in order of priority:

Internal keys such as stealth_consent_choice, stealth_consent_time, stealth_consent_uuid and the first-party cookies sc_d and sc_c are used only to remember your choice between visits. They contain no personal data.

05Withdrawing consent (clean-up)

If you withdraw or limit your consent at any time, the system automatically removes the cookies and storage entries of the statistics and advertising services (e.g. _ga, _gid, _gcl_*, _fbp, _fbc, _ttp, pys_*), and the Meta and TikTok pixels stop on the open page.

Excluded from the clean-up: cookies essential for the shop to work (cart, checkout, account session, language, security tokens, payment).

06Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal and there is no earlier consent record, this is treated as a preference for maximum privacy: the statistics and advertising categories are treated as declined until you choose otherwise.
